NSS Day Celebration at HAPS 27.09.2018

NSS Programing officer Mrs.Shashi Bala (Coordinator HAPS) and Mr. Ashwani Kumar (PGT Physics) along with NSS volunteers visited ‘Sasan’ a village near by the school. A vermi compost pit was also prepared by the volunteers and people of the above said village were also told about how to dispose the garbage. Under ‘Clean India Campaign’ to promote cleanliness in our surroundings a ralley was aslo organised. HAPS Organised IAYP and Round Square Adventure Camp at Barot Mandi HP

Continuing the tradition of holistic education, Him Academy Public School Vikasnagar, Hamirpur set another milestone when 63 students of HAPS Vikasnagar completed successfully the International Award for Young People and Round Square adventurous activities at Barot Mandi HP from 15th Sept, 2018 to 18th Sept, 2018. This is an important criteria for IAYP and led by Mr. Rajeev Kumar, the Team Leader and other team members including Mrs. Vinta, Mr. Vikas Kumar, Ms Pushpa, Mr Sanjay and Mr. Harish, students showed a splendid display and zeal for outside adventure. The activities included trekking, Slithering, River Crossing, tent and camping.

Nda Coaching Institute in Himachal

Completion of “Swachhta Pakhwara”

First fortnight of September 2018 was celebrated as “Swachhta Pakhwara” at HAPS. This initiative was commenced with an oath and a speech delivered by a student of the school. Through various sources (i.e. school app & school website) of the school, parents of the children were also involved in this initiative to motivate their wards about necessity of cleanliness at their respective homes as well. An exhibition of prepared best goods out of waste was also demonstrated in the school premises. Teaching and non teaching Staff of the school also contributed a lot in the process of cleanliness positively. Waste material of the school was also removed from the school so that students can be motivated to keep their surroundings clean. Aganwari Initiative by HAPS

On September 12,2018, to maintain proper Hygiene & Cleanliness, students of a Anganwari at nearby village ‘Sasan’ were enlightened by the nurses (i.e. Miss. Geetanjali and Miss. Meenakshi) of the HAPS about various Hand Washing techniques.

They also told the students about the important role of clean surrounding in maintaining good health & proper hygiene. Five students of HAPS along with above mentioned nurses visited the Anganwari and told the students about the steps involved in the process of hand washing.

All students learned all steps very keenly and enthusiastically. This initiative was taken to promote “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.”

A Survey on Human Health & Hygiene

Under Children Science Congress, a survey on ‘Human Health & Hygiene’ was conducted by the students of grade +1 of Him Academy Public School. Above mentioned survey was conducted under the guidance of Ms. Parul Sondhi (PGT Chemistry) at Gram Panchayat Daruhi at ‘Sastar’ village. In this survey villagers were enlightened about “Human Habitat Management” and “Sanitary Disposal.” After discussion with villagers on sanitary disposal, two different Questionnaires were also prepared.

Proper Hygiene Awareness at HAPS

To keep the students healthy and disease free students of grade 1st to 3rd were enlightened about Proper Hygiene & Cleanliness at HAPS when they were told about various steps of hand washing. To promote good hygiene condition and clean surrounding, a speech was also delivered by Ms. Geetanjali (School Nurse). Essay Writing Competition

“Writing, an impressive way to express your thoughts”

An essay writing competition was organized at HAPS by Chief Post Master General, Shimla (H.P). Students from grade 6th-12th participated in it. The theme of the competition was ‘My Motherland.’ For this writing competition, Bilingual mode of language (i.e. English or Hindi) for writing was used.141 students of the school have participated in this essay writing competition.

Teachers Day Celebration at HAPS

    'Teacher and Almighty both are standing before a Person.’

Him Academy Public School celebrated ‘Teachers Day’ with great fanaticism. As 5th of September is the birth anniversary of a great person named, Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, who was highly devoted towards education and well known as the scholar, diplomat, President of India and most importantly a Teacher. To make the day more memorable, Dr. Himanshu Sharma, The Principal Academics, HAPS along with Academic coordinators offered flowers to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. During this occasion ‘Shalokas’ were also recited by the students during morning assembly. In the end a tribute to the teachers in the form of song was also given by the students. On this memorable day, Dr. Himanshu Sharma, The Principal Academics, HAPS congratulated all the staff members for their valuable contribution for society as a nation builder.

Bhajan Sandhya at HAPS !

To celebrate the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami,a Bhajan Sandhya was organized at Him Academy Public School. It was commenced with the welcome of ‘Kanha’ and the ‘Aarti’ of Sri Krishna. The staff members and the children enchanted beautiful Bhajans and made the evening more mesmerizing and religious. To make the day more memorable, special performances were also given by the Music Department of the school.
